- Nationally, February existing home sales dropped from January, probably due to low inventory, but are still higher year-over-year. Median home prices were up over 15% for the year. (3/24/21)

- Regarding another ongoing issue, beach erosion and sandbags, a bill limiting the use of sandbags has been shelved. (3/14/21)

- An update on an older story regarding making it illegal to feed feral chickens, this bill was deferred. (3/11/21)

- The sales figures for February for the Oahu real estate market have been released by the Honolulu Board of Realtors®. Here is a single-page set of charts showing the last 12 months of data. It was another positive month again. The median home price set another new record, and condos almost did the same. Sales volume was still quite high for this time of the year, especially for condos. Homes sales volume was up from last year, but was probably held back by the low inventory. Inventory was fairly even, but the three-month moving average set a new low. Pending sales volume is still very solid. (3/6/21)
