 January, 2020 « Next month - Very cool, bravura, video flying over Oahu at the speed of a bird. (1/31/20) - U.S. economic confidence at highest point since 2000. (1/28/20) - Positive analysis of the December U.S. existing home sales data. (1/25/20) - Nationally, low home inventory pushing up prices. (1/24/20) - Interesting to see, but not likely to happen here, since our price points and buyers are different. Half of all new condos built in Manhattan since 2015 have never been sold. (1/18/20) - Dow crosses 29,000 for first time. (1/11/20) - U.S. adds 145,000 jobs in December. (1/11/20) - The sales figures for December for the Oahu real estate market have been released by the Honolulu Board of Realtors®. Here is a single-page set of charts showing the last 12 months of data. It was a nicely positive month. Sales volume was in line with the annual wintertime pattern. Median prices were up solidly for both property types from last month and from a year ago. Inventory again dropped significantly, and pending sales volume looks quite strong.
