(9/26/13) - The latest Case-Schiller data shows solid gains year-over-year nationwide for July. (9/25/13) - Interesting article from UHERO regarding whether requiring Oahu developers to provide affordable housing actually has a net opposite effect in the marketplace. (9/24/13) - HBR has released the August neighborhood data here. (9/16/13) - Looks as if A&B made a good investment buying Kawamoto's Kahala properties. (9/15/13) - The sales figures for August for the Oahu real estate market have been released by the Honolulu Board of Realtors®. Here is a single-page set of charts showing the last 12 months of data. It was a very positive month. Sales volume and median prices were up for both property types, whether compared to last month or a year ago. The 3-month combined moving average for sales volume set another 12-month record, and the median sale price combined 3-month average was over $500K for the first time. Inventory inched up but is lower than a year ago, and pending sales volume looks strong. Here are the full HBR stats for Oahu. Individual neighborhood data will be released mid-month.
