- Happy Valentine's Day! (2/14/12)

- The January sales numbers for the Oahu real estate market have been released by the Honolulu Board of Realtors®. Here is a single-page set of charts showing the last 12 months of data. It was a slightly positive month. Even though we are in the heart of the annual winter slowdown as shown by the sales numbers, median sale prices have increased for both property types, and the combined three month moving average of both median prices has increased for another month. Inventory is still low and pending sales look fine. Here are the full HBR stats for Oahu. HBR has changed who is compiling their data and the new report has some layout changes. Individual neighborhood data is now combined with island-wide data in the same file, and the long-term historical sales and median price charts have been brought back and are the last two pages of the PDF file. (Please note that data methodology may have changed over time, and the Hoku 12-month charts use the data released during each month shown.) (2/7/12)

- Backdoor-tax on new mortgages to pay for payroll tax holiday. (2/6/12)

- "The Colors of Hawaii - Blue" (2/2/12)
