- The sales figures for February for the Oahu real estate market have been released by the Honolulu Board of Realtors®. Here is a single-page set of charts showing the last 12 months of data. It was a mixed month. The median home price set a new record high, while the condo median price dropped. That drop may just be a statistical anomaly since the average condo sale price, which isn't shown in the chart, actually increased. It's also odd because a new median condo price record was set back in December. Sales volume declined for both property types, but January and February are normally the slowest months annually. Inventory was basically flat, and pending sales volume looks stronger. (3/7/25)

- New lawsuit by Koloa Rum argues that the Jones Act violates the U.S. Constitution's Port Preference Clause. More background here. (3/6/25)

- Impressive night-time video of Tuesday's eruption of Kilauea volcano. (3/5/25)
